Harvest Time

When the mercury creeps over 34c, during the summer months, the morning heat of the sun releases enough moisture from the ears of wheat, allowing for the harvest of the crop that has been growing for the last 8 months.

The moisture content must read 12.5% or less for the highest quality grain, meaning the farmers need to be ready to go when the weather is on their side. Often working long hours and into the night, to ensure maximum productivity and the highest yield is achieved when conditions are right.
